Why a Salon?
The modern image of a salon is a place where stylists work together to bring out the beauty of their clients through a melange of cosmetic techniques. In a similar arrangement, we have collected a team to style your brand. But we also go deeper than that. Modern salons have their “roots” in the literary salons of 17th century Paris. The original ‘blue-stockings’ whose name continued to mean ‘intellectual woman’ for the next 300 years, gathered in drawing rooms to exchange ideas, receive and give criticism and pursue a form of higher education. Our services follow the concept of a salon from its modern-day meaning in that we are a group of independent contractors poised at our “stations” ready to work on your brand, all the way back to the traditions of the original salons, as a group of “intellectual women” who have come together to exchange ideas about best practices for launching global microbrands and buck the old guard, branding establishment just a bit.
